Why restaurants have no choice but to use Uber Eats and Seamless?
Justin came in to Cocktail Garnish Co. fired up this morning screaming about Uber Eats and as an owner, still needing them as a delivery service. It’s actually pretty wild as we were in the middle of expanding upon our gripes with Uber Eats drivers being rude and unmindful, a driver walked into the middle of the podcast shoving his phone in our face to find where the delivery had to go!
Smokehouse Tailgate Grill used to have their own delivery team, but it seems over time it was too expensive as hours needed to be supplied and there was a cap on how much business you can do based upon how large your restaurant’s delivery driver team was. Justin said with Uber, it’s just easier because they charge you a per fee price no matter how large the order.
Would you believe that Justin’s number one gripe with using a third party delivery app in his business isn’t actually the phones being flashed in your face to retrieve the to go order, but actually the food waste when no one comes to pick the order up!?
